The Virtue of Being Nice

I have always believed that being smart is not the greatest virtue–heavily a matter of genetics, I suspect.  The real virtue from my perspective is being nice: that takes work–hard work–and assumes a variety of other qualities like patience and kindness.  Education of the heart is the essence of sustaining and advancing humanity–education of the”mind” alone isn’t really education. is it?
