Sr. Maureen Bennett, MSC, Takes Final Vows

During a moving ceremony, which took place at the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Shrine in New York City on Sunday, October 20, 2013, Sr. Maureen Bennett, MSC made her final profession of vows. Fr. Tom Faiola, OFM, Cap. served as the presider of the special liturgy. Following the ceremony, the Missionary Sisters of the Stella
Maris Province lined the main aisle of the Shrine to offer warm greetings, hugs and blessings to Sr. Maureen. Sr. Maureen was delighted to have family and friends from Europe and her native Australia present to celebrate the day with her. A festive luncheon held at Mother Cabrini High School followed the ceremony.
For the next few months, Sr. Maureen, a nurse, will reside in the formation community in West Park, NY. In January, she will depart for Ethiopia where she will serve the needs of the community there.
