Can-a-Thon at Cabrini High School in New Orleans, LA

To serve those who were affected by Hurricane Isaac, students at Cabrini Hight School in New Orleans, are holding a Can-a-Thon.   The Can-a-Thon will run September 10 through September 21 and will benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank.   The Can-a-Thon will run as a class competition. The class donating the most canned goods will win a free Jeans Day on November 16!   Cabrini High is back in full swing after losing some time to Hurricane Isaac.  School began on August 13 and classes were cancelled on August 31st as the hurricane blew into New Orleans.  With full power and telephone service restored school re-opened  on September 4th with a full-period schedule.   The website noted, “We are thankful to be back in school and that we had few severe losses within our  community.   Please keep in your prayers our Cabrini families who reside in Braithwaite and LaPlace who sustained more serious damage to their homes.”
