Swaziland Visitors at Cabrini College, Radnor, PA

After weeks of pleasant anticipation and amidst broad smiles, big hugs and warm words of introduction and welcome, Swaziland visitors Mrs. Tfobhi Mamba, Nonhlanhla Thoko Shongwe and Mavis Steenkamp arrived at Cabrini College and paid a visit to the MSC Mission Offices on Wednesday, January 11A tour of the MSC Mission Offices was followed by a beautiful prayer service coordinated by Sr. Grace. Our Swazi guests sang a hymn in their native language and the service was concluded by all singing Amazing Grace.  Our guests enjoyed an authentically Philadelphia luch of  hoagies, soft pretzels, and Tastycakes. Mrs. Mamba, Thoko and Mavis enjoyed especially, the Tastycakes. The afternoon included a visit to the library which is home to the Cabriniana Room, where many artifacts of Mother Cabrini are on display. Then it was off on a “virtual tour” of the Stella Maris Province via a Powerpoint presentation. Pure delight was on the faces of the ladies as the “tour” arrived in Swaziland. The ladies saw photos of beloved friends and family members back home in their homeland far away.  Mrs. Mamba, Mavis and Thoko will be staying on campus until Friday, January 20They are here to learn pedagogical methods from the College’s faculty and will visit a local elementary school, spend time with Cabrini College students, faculty and staff.
