In Spring 2010, Sr. Patricia Spillane, MSC Superior General, and Sr. Apareceda, MSC General Councilor, traveled from Rome to South America to visit the Brazilian Province.
The Sisters travelled more than 5,000 miles—from the Northeastern Atlantic Coast of Brazil to the borders of Argentina and Paraguay—visiting the seven states in which the Missionary Sisters live and serve. Witnessing first hand some of the sites and institutions that Mother Cabrini founded in 1908, the Sisters saw how the MSCs and their lay colleagues fulfill their commitment “To serve life and to sow hope in Latin America.”
